Archery Training at Sports Village

Archery is a sport that involves using a bow and arrow to shoot at a target:

History: Archery is one of the oldest sports, with origins dating back thousands of years. It was used for hunting and combat historically, and is now a competitive sport and recreational activity.

Target archery: The most well-known form of modern archery, target archery involves shooting at a five-colored target with 10 scoring zones. Archers shoot from specific distances, and points are awarded based on which ring the arrow lands in.

Equipment: Archers typically use a recurve or compound bow.

Competitions: In competitions, archers are usually given 20 seconds to shoot each target, and gameplay typically involves 72 targets shot in groups.

Types: Archery can be an individual or team sport.

Paralympics: Archery has been featured in the Paralympic Games since 1960.

Symbolism: The bow and arrow have symbolized control, precision, self-reliance, and patience for thousands of years.

Popularity: The character Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games is credited with boosting archery's popularity among young women
